Study Skills and Memory Strategies for students in High School, TAFE and University

Unlocking Potential through the development of study skills and memory strategies.

Study skills do not necessarily develop naturally but rather may need to be explicitly taught and supported. By developing their study skills and memory strategies, students can improve their ability to retain and recall information, and can learn to study more efficiently and effectively.

Raise the Bar Psychology offers one-on-one and small group programs geared toward late high school (Year 9 to 12) and tertiary education students.

The memory strategies we teach are evidence-based strategies that support working memory, consolidation of new information in long-term memory, and accurate and efficient retrieval of information from memory storage. Study skills cover a series of strategies that help students to study more efficiently and effectively and improve their learning and academic performance. Programs are also linked to exam preparation and reducing exam stress.

Who are the study skills and memory strategy programs for?

These programs are ideal for Year 9 to 12 students and tertiary education students who are motivated to improve their approach to learning and school, and motivated to learn strategies for working smarter and not harder. They are also suitable for students who need support with exam preparation and managing test anxiety.
