FOR STUDENTS IN HIGH SCHOOL, TAFE AND UNIVERSITY

Empowering students with study skills and memory strategies.

Raise the Bar Psychology offers one-on-one and small group programs to help students in late high school (Years 9 to 12) and tertiary education with their studies.

Sometimes, students need a helping hand to develop the necessary skills to do better at school and in their studies. Study skills do not necessarily develop naturally; instead, they may need to be explicitly taught and supported. By developing their study skills and memory strategies, students can improve their ability to retain and recall information and learn to study more efficiently and effectively.

The memory strategies we teach are evidence-based strategies that support working memory, consolidation of new information in long-term memory, and accurate and efficient retrieval of information from memory storage. Study skills cover strategies that help students study more efficiently and effectively and improve their learning and academic performance. Programs are also linked to exam preparation and reducing exam stress.
