Psychological or neurodevelopmental assessments for adolescents | Raise the Bar Psychology

Psychological Assessment for Adults

At Raise the Bar Psychology, we offer comprehensive psychological assessments for adults seeking a deeper understanding of their cognitive abilities, emotional well-being, and behavioral patterns.

Our assessments are tailored to your individual needs and may include evaluations of cognitive functioning, personality, emotional regulation, and interpersonal dynamics. We use a variety of assessment methods, including clinical interviews, standardised tests, and behavioural observations, to provide a thorough and accurate understanding of your unique strengths and challenges.

Our assessments can be helpful in identifying underlying issues contributing to difficulties you may be experiencing, clarifying diagnoses, and guiding treatment planning.

Preparing for Your Assessment

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow yourself time to settle in.
  • You are welcome to bring a drink and snacks with you.
  • You can find information about your psychologist on our Team Page to help you prepare for your first meeting.
  • Take some time to reflect on the reasons for seeking assessment and what you hope to gain from the process.

Assessment Process

While each assessment is tailored to the individual, our general process includes an initial intake session, assessment sessions, consultation with other professionals as needed, report writing, and a feedback session to review the results and recommendations.

The feedback session is typically scheduled 4 weeks after the final assessment session to allow sufficient time for report preparation. In some cases, and with your consent, we may recommend gathering additional information from other sources to enhance the assessment.

Your psychologist will discuss this with you if necessary.
