Erin Hume is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with a decade of experience working in Victorian private, government and Catholic schools, as well as in an early intervention setting with pre-schoolers and their families. She has a background in cognitive, educational and behavioural assessment, as well as providing counselling and group therapy to school-aged children.
Erin is also a trained primary school teacher with experience teaching in a special education role with primary-aged students experiencing learning difficulties. Alongside her work at Raise the Bar Psychology, Erin is completing a Master of Learning Intervention at the University of Melbourne. Erin is passionate about working in, and with schools; she aims to foster collaborative relationships with families and schools in order to best support each student’s unique set of skills and capabilities.
She uses her down-to-earth and practical approach to build and strengthen the capacity of the team surrounding each student, so that they can strive for their learning goals in a positive, strengths-oriented and supportive environment.
