Susan Read is a registered psychologist who obtained her Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University. Previously, Susan ran a parent support group for SPELD Victoria and provided literacy intervention at Victoria’s first trauma informed primary school. In her finance career Susan worked along side many senior executives who identified as neurodivergent.

Susan has seen a wide range of peoples’ with neurodivergence lived experience across the life span. Susan is skilled in conducting cognitive, educational, and neurodevelopmental assessments and adopts a person-centered approach, incorporating trauma-informed and inclusive care in both assessment and counselling. Susan is particularly passionate about supporting parents, teachers, carers and employers create an environment where individuals can thrive to their fullest potential. She is focused on collaboratively building a shared understanding of the lived challenges arising from neurodivergence while emphasising strengths and strategies to manage challenges.

Outside of her professional life, Susan loves hiking, keeping fit and spending time with friends and family.

Currently accepting school age assessment clients

Counselling

Susan sees child and adolescent counselling clients for anxiety, depression, and understanding the impacts of neurodiversity, including ADHD and learning difficulties (dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia)
