Hayley Anthony is one of the original team members of Raise the Bar Psychology. She has been with us from day one so it seems about time we share a bit of her background and why we’ve kept her in our clutches for so long!

Job Title

Educational Psychologist

Is she qualified you ask? Well…

  • Bachelor of Psychology and Marketing/Management
  • Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology
  • Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental)
  • PhD candidate
  • Endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist
  • Registered Supervisor

So yes then, she’s pretty qualified 🙂

Ok well what sort of experience does she have?

Hayley has worked extensively in schools as a school psychologist and thoroughly enjoys working collaboratively with young people, parents and teachers.

She is experienced in both counselling and assessment and has a special interest in learning difficulties and mindfulness.

She currently divides her time between practicing at Raise the Bar Psychology and university lecturing where she teaches psychological assessment to postgraduate psychology students.

Experience – check!

Why did she choose this line of work?

I think I initially chose this profession to help others, learn more about myself and because I was fascinated by my fellow humans! Most of my family are teachers and so I decided to be different… which only lasted a few years before I ended up working in schools anyway!

Favourite Book: The Power of One by Bryce Courtney

Hobbies: Yoga, travel and walking/playing with her cheeky black Labrador

What do you like about working with Raise the Bar:

I love the problem solving aspect of the assessment process. When clients come in with learning difficulties, our assessments can help to tease out and identify exactly what is contributing to the problem. This usually leads to more specific recommendations and ultimately better outcomes for families. I also enjoy working collaboratively with Kate and the team.

So that’s our Hayley. Not hard to see why we think she’s so great and we’re pretty sure you will too!
