Director / Educational & Developmental Psychologist
Heatherton

Welcome! I’m Hayley, and my passion lies in changing the narrative around developmental differences and learning challenges. Over the past 15 years, I have worked across private practice, government, school environments, and tertiary teaching clinics to bridge the gap between comprehensive assessment and real-world, everyday support for young people.

As a practitioner, my focus is entirely family-first and student-centered. I recently completed my PhD at Monash University, researching Australian parents’ experiences with learning disorder diagnoses. This research heavily shapes how we operate at Raise the Bar. We ensure that assessments are never just a label, but a warm, supportive process that honours the student’s voice and provides families with ongoing support and a clear, stress-free path forward.

Beyond the clinic room, I am proud to lead Raise the Bar as Managing Director. What started as a vision for better care has scaled into a robust, multidisciplinary team of over 30 practitioners and administrative staff across four Victorian locations (Clyde North, Moonee Ponds, Heatherton, and Sale). Combining my clinical background with corporate governance training through the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), I am deeply committed to maintaining industry-leading clinical governance, child-safety standards, and strategic service delivery.

Whether you are a parent looking for answers, a professional looking to refer, or an organisation interested in collaborating, I look forward to working together to support our community.
