Dr Laura Hopkinson is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist who has worked with children and families for almost 20 years. Laura has worked across a variety of settings, including family homes, schools, kindergartens, childcare, and clinics, collaborating with a wide range of professionals to provide holistic, family-centered care. Her experience in early intervention, developmental differences, and family support, as well as her PhD research investigating children’s personality expression in play, has shaped her compassionate, values-centred approach to supporting families, with a particular focus on providing neuro-affirming and trauma-informed care.
Laura is passionate supporting families of young children, especially those navigating neurodivergence or developmental differences. She works closely with parents and caregivers to explore individual strengths, needs, and strategies, fostering an inclusive, empowering environment for children and families alike.
Laura’s understanding of early childhood development is deeply informed by both her professional experience and personal understanding navigating parenthood as a mother of two young children.
